Los Angeles, March 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BioCorRx, Inc. (BICX), developer of the Start Fresh Program, announces the opening of a new center offering the program in Washington D.C. by its licensee, Sobriety and Addiction Solutions, LLC (SAS).  SAS operates as MyLife Recovery Centers^TM and has two other locations in California: Walnut Creek and Fresno.  BioCorRx, Inc. is pleased to continue on its trajectory of expansion through Q1 2015.  A clinic serving the nation's capital and surrounding areas is another step forward in broadening the accessibility of the Start Fresh Program nationally," stated COO & interim CEO, Brady Granier.  The center is to be located at 3 Washington Circle NW, Washington, D.C. 20037.  The clinic plans to officially open on March 12, 2015 and is currently scheduling patient consultations.  With the opening of this new location, there will be a total of 13 centers across the United States offering the Start Fresh Program, more than double the number of centers as compared to approximately 5 months ago.

The population of the Washington D.C.-Baltimore Combined Statistical Area is nearly 10 million people and is considered the 4^th largest metropolitan area in the US.  It also ranks first in income and education. Washington D.C. is in close proximity to several states and large metropolitan areas including Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Richmond.  A key component of the Start Fresh Program is its ability to treat patients within the framework of their own lives; therefore, it is reasonable for residents of surrounding states and cities to be treated at the Washington D.C. center.  A study conducted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration found that Washington D.C. leads the nation in drug and alcohol abuse.
